A hidden gem in Bankside, and one of the last independently owned and operated restaurants in the neighbourhood, The Table Café has been run by Shaun Alpine-Crabtree, in partnership with the architectural practice Allies & Morrison, for nearly a decade. The restaurant’s commitment to impeccable sourcing and quality British ingredients has been evident since day one with a two-star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association of proof of their commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing.
The entire restaurant is available for private hire. The intimate, modern space offers a versatile environment for a variety of occasions, from a sit-down dinner for 60 to an alfresco drinks reception for 200. The terrace offers a unique outdoor environment in which to entertain guests, clients or friends. Lined with six mature apple trees and paved with English slate, it provides an oasis of calm and elegance only moments away from the hubbub of central London.
We have held our yearly volunteer thank you event and award presentations at The Table for the last two years. Shaun and the team have made it an absolute pleasure, and the volunteers and staff from the organisation have enjoyed the evenings immensely. The venue, and of course the food, was incredible and Shaun expertly put together a selection to suit our needs and was happy to adapt where we had special requirements. We are looking forward to next year’s event and look forward to a continued partnership with the Table both personally and as an organisation as they continue to support our work
